The art will all come from amateur and up-and-coming professional artists--and will put their work in front of all-new audiences through the app while allowing players to click through to the artists' storefronts and buy prints and products featuring their art.
Even the theme song will be a medley of music from a local band.
The Puzzle Falls app is due to launch in February, but you can follow its development and get first looks at the artists' work by Liking the app's Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/PuzzleFalls.
And if you or someone you know is an artist whose work would make a great jigsaw puzzle, there is still room in the app's inaugural gallery for featured art. Just reach out through the Facebook page about the opportunity.
For me it is one of the best ideas so far for the iPad. It does not only give fun for the player but as well some more visibility for artists.
Maybe my friend want to include a slideshow of all solved puzzles. This could be a nice picture frame app for the living room when guests are coming.
My son is only 2.5 years old and he loves puzzles on the iPad. This game would be perfect for kids to play and to get them closer to art. Maybe the app could include some info about the art. What style it is, who the artist is and when it was painted etc.
I am pretty sure my friend will include this in future updates. He knows how to create great ideas and combine them with playing, learning and art.
His first game (At least i think it was his first) is called Nature Dome and it is a beautiful card game.
My son is still too young to play it, however I have a set of cards and use them for magic tricks for children and the parents are always asking me where did i get them, because they look so great.
Please all, check out this new upcoming iPad game and when you like the idea, support him, that he can release it earlier.
Here is the link to his facebook fan page again:

Thanks for the support, Markus! You've got some great ideas, some of which will actually be in the inaugural app--I can't wait to get it out to the world.
ReplyDeleteI'll be sharing progress all along the way, though--and getting input from followers of the page, too--so I hope all your fans tune in.
