Other than the website advertisers do know the ads are only placed in an Apple product. Apple does not support on their mobile devices flash and it seems that the latest advertiser in NYT does not know this. Right now is the running ad from Lancome. Clicking on the ad will open in the app a Lancome brand page which has a video on it, however the video does not work because it is embedded in flash. This is really a bad customer experienced.
Lancome did not do their homework and can cost them a lot of money, if they don't change the page for the iPad.
